Today I would like to write something about another amazing stone——lapis lazuli.
The main origin of lapis lazuli is Afghanistan.Natural lapis is a kind of dark blue semi-precious stone with gold（pyrite）.As one of the popular stones in the world.People love it because it is unique,beautiful and noble.Natural lapis is an expensive stone in China and many other countries.However,it is not easy to get the 100% natural lapis if you were not farmiliar with this materials.
Different suppliers will have their own way to divide the grades.The top grade lapis is pure dark blue,without any gold and white.However,some people perfer lapis with gold,or many gold.Here,I would like to tell you the difference between many types of lapis.So I would like to take our lapis for example……
AA grade lapis
In fact there are 3A,4A or even 5A grade lapis.But generally speaking,AA grade is enough for most of the situation.So let’s begin with AA grade lapis.
AA grade,beautiful dark blue,without white.
A grade lapis
Dark blue,with more gold and few white.
AB grade lapis
This is the general grade.AB grade will have some gold and white.
B grade lapis
Lighter blue,with gold and white
Dyed lapis
The material of lapis is also “natural”,but the color isn’t.Lapis in lower grades(C,D,etc) will have too much white or gold,so in order to sale it in a better price,People will dyed it to dark blue lapis.This kind of lapis is very cheap.
